About Bluebell Therapies

Bluebell Therapies was started by Alexandra Harrison -Nash

Alexandra was born in London and was very fortunate to experience living in very old houses in Sussex and Surrey and then moved to Devon at the age of 10 yrs old where I grew a life long passion of exploring the outside countryside and nature whilst living with my family in a thatched cottage (600 yrs old!!). I was from a young age drawn to care for those around me in a caring and compassionate way.

Nursing was a very natural career path. Initially aged 18 years old I trained as an Enrolled Nurse, this gave me a wonderful foundation into the workings of our body, anatomy & physiology and how this was then treated when disease/pathology illness was present.

I then became interested in humanistic behaviour and neuroscience became fascinated in learning about our mental health and caring for those who were requiring support, and assessment addressing the psycho-social-biological factors and other complex relationship’s and family systems that have had often affected a persons ability to maintain a balance in their life-work-relationships.

This pathway led me to look at training as a Psychiatric Nurse/Mental Health Nurse.

I have worked for over 34 years in Mental Health working with both adults and children in Acute units/ Secure MH Unit and in Rehabilitation and Community and Child and Adolescent MH.

Alongside my hospital work, and after spending time travelling to Australia, I began to explore other healing areas of Integrated Health that had been established for many years and treated “the whole person” instead of addressing the symptoms I was seeking what the root cause was for many different illnesses’.

I started a Bsc Complementary Medicine at University Westminster and was really captivated by a lecture in “Homeopathy” and on further reading and exploring how the homoeopathic remedy (medicine) act on the bodies self-regulating systems and adjusts and stimulates in a way which mimics the disease which then produces a healing response from the vital energy.

Please refer to Homeopathy to learn more about this gentle effective treatment. I completed my Adv Diploma in Homeopathy in Brisbane two weeks before I gave birth to our daughter. I have used Homeopathy over the last 18 years with my family and have had the privilege of being able to treat children with a high success rate particularly around emotional distress where there are physical symptoms affecting
the young person, disturbed sleep, headaches, stomach upsets.

Alexandra also studied Aromatherapy Massage and intends to offer this as a therapy for “Women” only there has been much research about the therapeutic effects of essential oils in alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.

I have in recent years been trained in a clinical breath work therapy under the guidance and
supervision of Dr Lloyd Lalande. This is a gentle non-verbal therapy that assists the healing of old hurts and traumas. This is an exciting area increasing self-compassion reducing anxiety and depression and people have experienced transformational changes, including less fear, more motivation, better relationship experiences.

I can combine my experience and training to offer a range of therapies to suit your individual needs. I provide a safe, nurturing, confidential space to be able to focus on your health journey.
